Round belts are used on roller conveyors and power transmission conveyors, such as line shaft conveyors and are used where’s twist in a belt is required to drive a pulley at an angle. Because of their highly elastic properties, round belts require no special safety measures or complicated joining methods or procedures.
Round belts are made from a soft material chosen to specification; used most commonly in a low torque application, they look similar to O-Rings. The round belts is designed to operate in a V-groove of 60 degrees for optimal friction and bite. Round belts are measured around the outside circumference of the belt, it is good practice to use a piece of tape to mark the start, to prevent the belt being marked.
